May 29, 2017 - Memorial Day Doubleheader at Clayhill Speedway; Ashley Newman Wins Monday Night
`On Friday night Jim Seratt Racing invaded Clayhill Speedway (Atwood, Tennessee) for the two-day Memorial Day Weekend special. Preston Seratt started the night off with a heat race win locking him on the pole for the feature. Ashley Newman came in 2nd in his heat securing his spot into the A-Main. With both pilots coming home in a podium spot, Seratt fell one position to place 2nd behind Matt Cooper while Ashley rounded out the Top 3 with a 3rd place finish. (Hagan Photography Motorsports)

`After two nights off, Preston and Ashley returned to Clayhill Speedway on Monday for the USCS Modified sanctioned contest. Passing three cars in his heat race, Seratt scored another heat race win locking him into the dash. Ashley secured his spot into the dash after passing six cars in his heat to place 2nd. Following a 1-2 finish in the USCS Mod Dash with Preston winning, both Jim Seratt Racing pilots covered the front row for the feature. After swapping out the lead back in for in the opening laps, Preston Seratt overtook the top spot until a late caution flag came out. Oce the red flag was lifted, Seratt lost all of his momentum while his teammate charged to the front reeling in his third win of the season over Kyle Beard, Lucas Lee, and Matt Cooper while Preston hung on to finish 5th.

May 13, 2017 - Jim Seratt Racing Heads to the Land of Lincoln
Making the trip to the Land of Lincoln, both Preston Seratt and Ashley Newman were in action on Friday night at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Illinois) for the inaugural Farmer City 74. Following the fourth fastest time overall in his qualifying group, Preston locked his spot into the feature with a 3rd place finish in his heat race. Newman followed up a 7th place finish in his heat with a 3rd place spot in his consolation event securing him into the $5,000-to-win A-Main. Starting in 21st, Ashley fell three spots to place 24th. Seratt was running as high as 8th until he was taken out sending him to the tail. Charging through the field 11 spots, Preston reeled in a 12th place finish.

`The following night Jim Seratt Racing headed to Fairbury American Legion Speedway (Fairbury, Illinois) for the annual FALS Frenzy. Earning the 12th-starting position for the $3,000-to-win A-Main, Ashley Newman gained four spots to place 8th. Seratt rolled off 7th for the A-Main but slipped back to a 20th place outing when the checkered flag flew.
