July 29, 2017 - Preston and Ashley Visit FALS for Prairie Dirt Classic
Friday night brought Preston Seratt and Ashley Newman to Fairbury American Legion Speedway (Fairbury, Illinois) for the 28th annual Prairie Dirt Classic. Drawing a stout field of 72 Open Wheel Modifieds for the two-day event, Seratt timed in eleventh fastest in his qualifying group while Newman posted the twelfth fastest time in his. Coming one spot shy of a Top 5 finish in his Schahrer Trucking & Farms preliminary feature, Ashley recorded a 6th place finish in the 20-lapper. Preston came in one spot behind in his Summit Racing Equipment A-Main registering a 7th place finish.

`Returning on Saturday night with Ashley’s spot already secured into the $5,000-to-win A-Main and Preston battling for a spot through his B-Main, Seratt charged through the field eleven positions but came up short of transfer spot into the main event with a 7th place outing. Ashley Newman wheeled his way through the field 16 spots in the 40-lapper to place 5th behind Mike Harrison, Mike McKinney, Nick Hoffman, and Steven Brooks. (Josh James Artwork)

July 15, 2017 - Newman Posts Podium Finish in Sonny Sayre Memorial at Riverside
Saturday night saw Jim Seratt Racing pilot Ashley Newman in action at Riverside International Speedway (West Memphis, Arkansas) for the annual Sonny Sayre Memorial. In a field of 25 Open Wheel Modifieds, Newman started the night off with a heat race win locking him into the 3rd-starting position for the feature. Moving up one spot, Ashley notched a runner-up finish behind Matt Cooper with Seth Reed, Bobby Allen, and Zane Ferrell completing the Top 5 finishers.

July 2, 2017 - Pair of Top 5 Outings With USCS Modifieds at Lexington 104 Speedway
Powering the Jim Seratt Racing entries, Preston Seratt and Ashley Newman visited Lexington 104 Speedway (Lexington, Kentucky) on Sunday for the USCS Outlaw Modified sanctioned program. Starting the night off with a heat race win, Seratt locked his spot into Dash while Newman landed a 2nd place finish securing his spot into Dash. After Preston cruised to a dash win locking him into the 4th-starting position for the feature, Newman scored a 3rd place finish earning him the 2nd starting spot for the Firecracker 100 based off passing points. Bringing home a pair of Top 5 finishes, Preston Seratt posted a 2nd place spot behind Matt Cooper while Ashley Newman came in 4th behind Kenny Schrader.

Monday’s USCS sanctioned Fireworks 150 at Clayhill Speedway (Atwood, Tennessee) was washed out by wet conditions.
