May 13, 2017 - Jim Seratt Racing Heads to the Land of Lincoln
Making the trip to the Land of Lincoln, both Preston Seratt and Ashley Newman were in action on Friday night at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Illinois) for the inaugural Farmer City 74. Following the fourth fastest time overall in his qualifying group, Preston locked his spot into the feature with a 3rd place finish in his heat race. Newman followed up a 7th place finish in his heat with a 3rd place spot in his consolation event securing him into the $5,000-to-win A-Main. Starting in 21st, Ashley fell three spots to place 24th. Seratt was running as high as 8th until he was taken out sending him to the tail. Charging through the field 11 spots, Preston reeled in a 12th place finish.

`The following night Jim Seratt Racing headed to Fairbury American Legion Speedway (Fairbury, Illinois) for the annual FALS Frenzy. Earning the 12th-starting position for the $3,000-to-win A-Main, Ashley Newman gained four spots to place 8th. Seratt rolled off 7th for the A-Main but slipped back to a 20th place outing when the checkered flag flew.

April 29, 2017 - Bad Luck Continues for Seratt at Clarksville; Newman Posts Top 5 Finish
On Saturday night Jim Seratt Racing made the first trip of the season to Clarksville Speedway (Clarksville, Tennessee) with both pilots in action. Starting on the second row of his heat race, Seratt suffered another broken motor on the lap 2 ending his night abruptly. Ashley Newman held his starting spot in his heat recording a 3rd place spot. Rolling off 7th for the feature, Newman reeled in a solid 4th place finish behind Matt Cooper, Clayton Miller, and Zach Fair with Brian Ashby coming in 5th.

April 14, 2017 - Preston Seratt and Ashley Newman Attend Deuces Wild at Tri-City Speedway
Making the four hour trip north, Preston Seratt and Ashley Newman traveled to Tri-City Speedway (Granite City, Illinois) on Friday night for the Deuces Wild A-Main. In a stout field of 36 Open Wheel Modifieds, Seratt lost a motor in qualifying ending his night before he was able to even get it started. After timing in ninth fastest in his group, Newman logged a 7th place finish in his heat race transferring him into the B-Main. Sending the Top 3 into the $2,000-to-win A-Main, Ashley scored a runner-up finish behind Ray Bollinger locking him into the feature. Coming from the back of the pack, Ashley Newman worked his way up to a 12th place outing.

April 8, 2017 - Ashley Newman Wins at Whynot Motorsports Park; Seratt Comes in 2nd
On Friday night Jim Seratt Racing returned to action at Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Mississippi) with both Preston Seratt and Ashley Newman competing in the regular night of racing along with the Battle of the States make-up feature. With both drivers holding their starting spot on a track that saw limited passing in the make-up A-Main, Newman landed a 4th place finish behind Gregg Hollingsworth, Ben Stephens, and Toby Hodge while Seratt rounded out the Top 5.

`Later on competing in a full show, Ashley Newman stormed to heat race win from the 2nd-starting position locking him on the front row for the A-Main. Preston passed four cars in the same heat recording a 3rd place finish positioning him 3rd on the starting grid for the feature. Jumping into the lead on the drop of the green flag, Ashley Newman wheeled his way to his second victory of the season while Preston Seratt came in a close 2nd with Gregg Hollingsworth, Toby Hodge, and Ben Stephens completing the Top 5 finishers.

April 1, 2017 - Preston Seratt Lands Top 5 Finish at SMS After Dealing with Tire Issues
Looking to avoid the rain, Preston Seratt and Ashley Newman visited Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tennessee) on Saturday night for the Southeast Dirt Modified Series sanctioned program. Drawing 20 cars for the Spring Shootout, Seratt landed a Top 5 finish in the A-Main while Newman fought off tire issues throughout the feature dropping him out of the Top 10. Battling for a podium spot the entire distance of the A-Main, Preston Seratt posted a 4th place spot when the checkered flew trailing Kyle Strickler, Billy Workman Jr. and Shon Flanary across the finish line with Blake Brown coming in 5th. Newman challenged for a podium spot early in the feature until suffering a flat on lap 4 sending him back to a 14th place outing.

March 11, 2017 - Ashley Newman Wins in Opening Night of Battle of the States at Whynot
`Jim Seratt Racing was back in action on Friday night with Preston Seratt and Ashley Newman competing in the two-day Battle of the States at Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Mississippi). With both drivers drawing for their starting spots in the heats, Seratt came from the tail of the field to place 5th while Ashley came from the back of his heat to place 8th. In the feature, Ashley Newman wheeled his way from the back of the pack capturing his first victory of the season while Preston came in three spots behind in 4th. Ben Stephens, Toby Hodge, Seratt, and Randy King rounded out the Top 5 finishers.

The second night of the 4th annual Battle of the States was postponed due to inclement weather.

March 4, 2017 - Preston Seratt Wins at Magnolia Motor Speedway with Newman Finishing 2nd
`On Saturday night Preston Seratt and Ashley Newman made the trip to Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) competing in the K&N Filters USCS Outlaw Modified sanctioned contest. Battling with teammate Ashley Newman for the top spot in the Frostbuster 150 A-Main, Preston slipped by Ashley in the final laps to pick up his first victory of the season. Newman, Spencer Hughes, Gregg Welch, and Craig Vaughn completed the Top 5 finishers in the 20-lapper.

February 24, 2017 - Preston and Ashley Make All Three USMTS Shows
`Making the first start of the season with the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS), Preston Seratt and Ashley Newman traveled to Jackson Motor Speedway (Byram, Mississippi) on Friday for the opening night of the Summit Racing USMTS Southern Region presented by Production Jars. Charging to a heat race win from the 4th-starting position, Seratt earned the 8th-starting spot for feature while Newman locked the pole position for the main after capturing his own heat race victory. Rolling off 8th for the feature, Preston Seratt was running as high as 4th until suffering a flat right-rear tire and a broken pull bar. Losing positions but able to finish the race, Seratt limped across the finish line in 16th while Newman slipped back to a 20th place outing.

On Saturday 44 USMTS followers headed to Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Mississippi) for another $3,000-to-win A-Main. Scoring a runner-up finish from the 5th-starting spot in his heat, Preston earned the pole position for the feature. Ashley fell short of a transfer position in his heat after placing 6th but edged his way into the main event with a 5th place finish in his B-Main. Jumping out into the lead on the drop of the green flag, Seratt held the top spot for only three laps but battled for a Top 5 finish all race. Making contact with another competitor late in the 40-lapper, Preston dropped back to a 7th place finish. Ashley was unable to get anything started from the back of the pack placing 23rd.

Wrapping up the Summit Racing USMTS Southern Region on Sunday, Seratt Motorsports stopped at Greenville Speedway (Greenville, Mississippi) for another shot at the $3,000 top prize. Falling short of a transfer position in his heat with a 3rd place spot, Seratt scored a 3rd place finish in his B-Main locking himself into the finale. Ashley Newman started the day off by posting a heat race victory putting him 7th on the starting rundown for the feature. Working his way into a podium spot early in the main, Newman dropped back to a 16th place outing after making hard contact with the wall. Preston decided to pull off midway through the race to save equipment while being credited with a 21st place finish.

February 11, 2017 - Seratt Motorsports Begin Season at Sunshine State Mod Tour at East Bay
Seratt Motorsports kicked off the 2017 season on Wednesday night at East Bay Raceway Park (Gibsonton, Florida) with Preston Seratt and Ashley Newman both in action for the final four rounds of the Sunshine State Modified Tour. Drawing 52 Open Wheel Modifieds, Seratt placed 5th in his heat sending him into the B-Main while Newman locked his spot into the feature with a runner-up finish behind Mike Potosky in his heat. Transferring the Top 2 out of the B-Main, Preston came one position short with a 3rd place finish. Earning the 9th-starting position for the $1,000-to-win A-Main, Ashley dropped back to an 18th place outing.

`Returning on Thursday for a chance at the $1,500 payday, Ashley Newman started the night off by scoring a heat race win from the 2nd-starting position. Preston outdueled former NASCAR stand-out Kenny Wallace to capture the 2nd place spot behind Newman along with a transfer position into the main event. In the A-main while battling for a podium finish, Seratt dropped back to a 14th place outing after getting taken out by another competitor. Breaking into the Top 5, Ashley Newman advanced three spots in the main event scoring a 3rd place finish behind Kevin Adams and Jeff Matthews with David Reutimann and Bryan Bernhardt rounding out the Top 5 finishers. On Friday in a stout field of 56 cars, Preston edged his way into the feature with a 3rd place finish in his heat. Ashley Newman logged a 4th place outing in his heat but stormed to a consolation win to lock his spot into the main event. With both cars improving in the A-Main, Preston Seratt jumped up four spots to place 12th while Newman advanced nine positions to place 11th.

Closing out the Sunshine Mod Tour at East Bay Raceway Park (Gibsonton, Florida) on Saturday, Preston edged his way into the $5,000-to-win finale with a 2nd place finish in his heat. Ashley came short of a transfer position in his heat and then suffered mechanical issues in his consolation event bringing a disappointing end to his weekend. With 75-laps to gain some ground in the A-Main, Preston Seratt registered a 20th place finish.

January 11, 2017 - Seratt Motorsports Posts Four Wins During 2016 Season
Competing in a total of 20 events during the 2016 season, Preston Seratt collected two wins while his teammate Ashley Newman who joined the team late in the season also posted two victories. Losing two of their scheduled dates to bad weather, Seratt and Newman registered 15 Top 10 finishes and 11 Top 5 outings.

October 22, 2016 - Ashley Newman Returns to Victory Lane in Fall Classic at Whynot; Seratt Places 6th
`Running in the 22nd Annual Coors Light Fall Classic, both Preston Seratt and Ashley Newman headed to Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Mississippi) on Friday for the two-day event. After timing in 2nd and 4th fastest in a field of 30 Open Wheel Modifieds, Newman stormed to a heat race win locking his spot into the A-Main on Saturday. Battling for the top spot in his heat, Seratt landed a runner-up spot in a photo finish putting him 4th on the starting rundown for the main event. With $2,000 on the line, Ashley Newman captured his second victory in his second start in the Seratt Motorspots #29N machine with Gregg Hollingsworth, Toby Dodge, Ben Stephens, and Bryan Powell rounding out the Top 5. Preston fell one position short of a Top 5 outing posting a 6th place finish.

October 15, 2016 - Preston Lands Podium Spot While New Teammate Ashley Newman Wins at Clayhill Motorsports
`Making the first start of the season as teammates, Preston Seratt and Ashley Newman visited Clayhill Motorsports (Atwood, Tennessee) on Saturday night for the King of the Hill event. Drawing 26 Open Wheel Modifieds for the K&N Filters USCS Modified sanctioned program, Seratt scored a runner-up finish in his heat behind Bart Richardson while Newman secured his spot into the A-Main with a 2nd place finish in his heat behind Troy Dow. Coming from the 5th-starting position, Ashley Newman wheeled his way to the 20-lap victory in his first Modified start of the season. October 1, 2016 - Seratt Lands in Top 5 in Modified at Clayhill Motorsports Cotton Bowl Cup
1Running in the three-day Cotton Bown Cup, Preston Seratt headed to Clayhill Motorsports (Atwood, Tennessee) on Thursday night competing in both the Open Wheel Modified and NeSmith Street Stock division. After going through qualifying to find out his fastest time in his Street Stock would be erased due to timing malfunctions, Preston was leading his Street Stock heat until breaking a gear forcing him to withdraw from the event. Storming to a heat race win from the 2nd starting spot in his Modified heat, Seratt locked his spot into the main event on Saturday evening.

July 16, 2016 - Top Five Finish for Seratt in Summer Sizzler at Jackson Motor Speedway
On Saturday night Preston Seratt returned to action after a few months away traveling to Jackson Motor Speedway (Byram, Mississippi) for the unsanctioned program. In a field of twenty-six cars for the Summer Sizzler, Seratt earned a 12th place starting for the $1,500-to-win A-Main via preliminary events. Working his way into a podium spot with 2 laps remaining, Preston fell back to a 4th place finish when the checkers flew finishing behind Ben Stephens, Gregg Hollingsworth, and Troy Dow with Lynnsee Provence coming in 5th.
