March 3, 2018 - Runner-up Finish in Season Opener at Tennessee National Raceway
`Preston Seratt made his debut in his new division on Saturday night as he went into battle with the Mid-South Big 10 Street Stock Series at Tennessee National Raceway.

The maiden voyage in the driver’s seat of his J&P Machine & Repair #29 Lowery’s Body Shop & Wrecker Service Street Stock would be a successful one. The Dyersburg, Tennessee-racer streaked to a runner-up finish against a talent-laden field of competitors.

“Man, what a weekend we had,” Seratt said with excitement. “We took a brand-new car with zero laps on it to one of the biggest Street Stock races in our area. This thing was pretty-well spot on from the time that we unloaded. I’m really excited about getting more seat time in this car. I definitely want to thank my dad and J&P Machine & Repair along with all of my sponsors for helping make this all possible.”

On Saturday night Preston Seratt kicked off the 2018 season at Tennessee National Raceway (Hohenwald, Tennessee), powering the J&P Machine Repair #29 Street Stock into action in the Icebreaker.

With 32 cars registered, Seratt laid down the second fastest time in qualifying before finishing second in his dash behind Wyatt Hill. Via his dash performance Preston started second on the grid for the feature.

After dropping a few spots in the opening 10 circuits of the feature due to an unknown mechanical issue, Preston Seratt’s car improved as the race progressed, and he would ultimately rebound to finish in the second spot behind Wyatt Hill.

December 28, 2017 - Jim Seratt Racing Ends 2017 Season With 5 Wins
The 2017 season saw Jim Seratt Racing compete in a total of 63 events while Ashley Newman visited victory lane times four times along with Preston Seratt's lone win at Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) in early March. With the weather determining the outcome of six of their scheduled dates, Preston Seratt collected 14 Top-10 outings and 12 Top-5 finishes while Ashley Newman registered 17 Top-10 outings and 14 Top-5 finishes.

September 30, 2017 - Preston and Ashley Attend Mod Mania at Tri-City Speedway
Kicking off the 13th annual Summit Racing Equipment Modified Mania, Preston Seratt and Ashley Newman headed to Tri-City Speedway (Granite City, Illinois) on Thursday night for the UMP DIRTcar sanctioned weekend. With 56 Open Wheel Modifieds on hand for the three-day event, Seratt posted a 2nd place finish behind Shannon Babb in his heat race transferring him into the B-Main. Ashley placed 5th in his heat sending him into the B-Main. Transferring the Top 3 into the opening night $3,000-to-win A-Main, Preston logged a 9th place finish while Newman slipped back to a 10th place outing.

Returning on Friday for the $4,000 top prize, Seratt placed 8th in his heat and then dropped back to a 21st place outing in his C-Main ending his night early. Ashley followed up a 3rd place finish in his heat with a 11th place outing in his consolation event.

Wrapping up the Modified Mania on Saturday night, Newman posted a 2nd place finish in his heat behind Bobby Pierce locking his spot into the finale. Seratt logged a 3rd place finish in his heat and then secured his spot into the $5,000-to-win A-Main with a 2nd place finish in his B-Main behind Rick Conoyer. Reeling in a Top 10 finish in the main event, Ashley Newman registered an 8th place finish while Preston came up two spots short with a 12th place finish.

September 16, 2017 - Pair of Top 5 Finishes in Mississippi State Championship at Whynot

September 3, 2017 - Jim Seratt Racing Returns to Illinois for Casey's Modified Nationals
Jim Seratt Racing kicked off the Labor Day weekend on Friday night by traveling to Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Illinois) for the American Modified Series sanctioned weekend. With 67 Open Wheel Modifieds on hand, Preston posted a 3rd place finish in his heat locking him into the opening night $5,000-to-win feature. Newman followed up a 5th place finish in his heat with a 2nd place finish in the B-Main. Starting in 19th, Ashley advanced seven spots to place 12th while Seratt was an early retiree from the feature after suffering a flat-tire while running in the Top 10.

On Saturday night with 68 cars on hand at Fairbury American Legion Speedway (Fairbury, Illinois), Seratt scored a 4th place finish in his heat while Newman logged another 5th place finish. Coming one spot short of a transfer position in his B-Main with a 3rd place outing, Preston transferred into the Mullins Race Engines Non-Qualifier feature. Ashley recorded a 4th place finish in his B-Main sending him into the $500-to-win Non-Qualifier. Getting squeezed into the wall early in the 20-lapper, Preston Seratt was an early retiree while being credited with a 12th place outing. Ashely Newman was credited with a 11th place finish after pulling off on lap 6.

August 19, 2017 - Preston and Ashley Both Make "Take Em Off 40" at Charleston Speedway
On Saturday night Preston Seratt and Ashley Newman visited Charleston Speedway (Charleston, Illinois) for the Take Em Off 40. Drawing a stout field of 72 Open Wheel Modifieds, Newman followed up the second fastest time in his qualifying group with a 2nd place finish in his heat race behind Lucas Lee. Preston timed in fifth fastest in his group before registering a 3rd place finish in his heat. Transferring into the B-Main for another shot at the feature, Seratt landed a 2nd place spot behind Robbie Eilers locking him into the 23rd-starting position for the feature. With $5,000 on the line, Preston Seratt gained six positions to place 17th while Ashley Newman was an early retiree from the feature after the track saw very limited passing. He was credited with a 21st place outing.

August 12, 2017 - Ashley Newman Wins at Western Kentucky Speedway; Preston Comes in 2nd
`Both pilots of the Jim Seratt Racing team were in action on Saturday night at Western Kentucky Speedway (Madisonville, Kentucky) for the $1,500 top prize. Passing two cars in his heat, Preston Seratt scored a heat race victory locking him into the feature. Ashley Newman rallied from the tail of his heat to place 2nd after suffering a flat-tire in his qualifying session. In the feature, Preston cut a tire on the opening lap but charged from the tail of the field notching a 2nd place finish. Newman outran the field from his 4th-starting spot to capture his fourth win of the season over Seratt, Don Brantley, Alex Love, and Brennan Jenkins. (Sharp Edge Photography)

January 11, 2017 - Seratt Motorsports Posts Four Wins During 2016 Season
Competing in a total of 20 events during the 2016 season, Preston Seratt collected two wins while his teammate Ashley Newman who joined the team late in the season also posted two victories. Losing two of their scheduled dates to bad weather, Seratt and Newman registered 15 Top 10 finishes and 11 Top 5 outings.
